I was walking down the street with Andrew when all of the sudden he stopped, bent over, and put his hand flat on the ground. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I can feel the world turning."

Just wow.

Tonight we were hanging out with the whole family. I told my three year old nephew Jesse I wanted to feel his muscles (the kid it built like a tank). He promptly took off his shirt and struck a bodybuilder pose, apparently so I could properly see his muscles. Then I asked him to show me his guns and he flexed his biceps and made a "pshew" sound like a gun shooting. It may have been one of the most awesome things I've ever seen.

I asked Andrew to go get something for me from the other room and this is what I heard:

"Mommy will you help me? We have a problem."

Andrew Gave Ben a New Nickname

"The Terror." Ben loves to follow Andrew around and mess up whatever he is playing with. Tonight Andrew shouted to me "oh no, here comes the terror!"

Today Andrew Became a Christian!

When I got home from work today Andrew said we were having a party. When I asked what the party was for he told me he had asked Jesus into his heart so someday he could go live with him in heaven. Scott told me his first two questions were if he could take his toys to heaven with him, and if we would take our dishes so we can eat. I've never been so proud of him as I was today.

One Year Status Report

Ben had his first birthday on Sunday. I thought I'd give an update on all the things Ben is now doing.

• Says Mama, Dada, Papa, baba (bottle), dog, cat and bye-bye
• Waves goodbye
• Is still doing the army crawl
• Pulls himself up on things and cruises around
• Gets into anything and everything

Andrew was talking to his cousin Jesse tonight on the phone. (What a three year old and a four year old have to talk about on the phone I have no idea). I'm not sure what Jesse said but Andrew replied with:

"That's not my problem."

Tonight we were eating dinner at my parent's house. We dished Andrew some mashed potatoes and we had the following conversation...

Andrew: "Where's the gravy?"

Grammy: "I didn't make any gravy tonight."

Andrew: "But that's what makes it!"

Awww

Poor Benjamin has been sick with the flu for five days now. He's had fevers up to 103 degrees, an awful cough, and has been throwing up at least once a day. I feel so bad for him, all he wants is to be held all the time. But alas, Scott is out of town and after holding him for two days straight I decided it was time to put him down and take a shower. I put him in his Jumperoo and instructed Andrew to watch him while I was in the shower. As soon as I got out I retrieved him and put him on the floor in the hallway so he could see me while I dried my hair. He promptly started crying for me to pick him up. I ignored him for a minute so I could finish getting ready, and he crawled over to me, cried "uh mama, uh mama" and laid his head on my feet. It was the sweetest thing he has ever done. I of course picked him up right away and cuddled him. Poor little monkey.

Also I have to give kudos to Andrew. He's virtually been being ignored for the last five days while Ben's been sick and he's been such a trooper, entertaining himself and helping out a ton. He definitely deserves a speacial treat or day out when this is all over.

Me: "What's heart-breaking?"

Andrew: "When you break something with your teeth, that's heart-breaking."

Sometimes I swear when he hears a term he just makes up a definition on his own.
